Russian Trade Representative Explores Innovation at ISTT

On Sunday, November 30, 2025, Aleksei Efimov, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Islamic Republic of Iran, visited Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) and toured several resident knowledge-based and technology companies.

He stated that the purpose of the program was to become acquainted with the capabilities of Iranian knowledge-based and technology companies and to explore opportunities for joint cooperation with Russian enterprises. He emphasized that the Russian Trade Representation in Iran, operating under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, is tasked with supporting exports and identifying reliable partners to strengthen industrial cooperation between the two countries.

Efimov added: “During this visit, we became familiar with the capacities and capabilities of companies active in agriculture, industry, and metallurgy. Considering the vast potential in both countries for expanding technological and industrial cooperation, we hope the outcomes of this meeting will lead to the development of a joint roadmap and the implementation of practical programs in the near future.”

Expressing satisfaction with the level of technology and expertise demonstrated by ISTT’s resident companies, the Russian Trade Representative noted: “All the companies we visited today have strong potential for joint cooperation. Therefore, we will work to introduce suitable Russian partners to these firms so that collaborations can continue effectively and sustainably. We hope this visit marks the beginning of broader cooperation, and we look forward to more visits to ISTT in the future.”

It is noteworthy that Isfahan Science and Technology Town, with nearly 800 resident knowledge-based and technology companies, plays a vital role in fostering international relations, attracting investment, and creating a platform for collaboration between domestic technology firms and foreign partners. This visit was conducted in line with ISTT’s mission to expand technological interactions with international counterparts.
